Merci, Gracias & Thank you!!

....I just wanted to take the time to say a BIG thank you to everyone who comes to my blog and leaves such sweet comments, I really appreciate it and often feel shocked, as when I started this, it was just a place to type down what I was doing at the time or liked and I didn't often think anyone would want to read it. But, your comments brighten my day and it's always fun reading what you've been up to as well, there are a lot of interesting people out there with something worthwhile to read. I've also learned the down side of blogging, about how many can get caught up in how many readers they have or comments, or trying to be like everyone else, that they loose what made them unique in the first place. It shouldn't be like that, its a blog for goodness sake :) I want to read about you, not anyone else. I've also learned that people can beg you to sign up to their blog & never return the kindness to you, but hey that's ok, because karma is a brat sometimes ;) But, seriously thank you all so much, for commenting and sharing who you are with me! I hope you all have a beautiful week & the sun shines for you wherever you may be!!

Much love,
xoxoxo

Hello peaches & plums!! In my quest to get ready for spring/summer (yes, as you may have noticed already, I am starting early, I have been pregnant all winter & dying to get into some lovely candy coloured dresses & leave some of the black behind) I came across this lookbook for the season on Flora Deborah, she's a fantastic photographer and I just love it! It went so well with my thinking on what I wanted to wear this spring/summer & gave me lots of ideas. Plus, the images are beautiful, soft and dreamy..very Marie Antoinette. Makes me want to pack up with my beautiful children, Gorgeous husband and make our way down to Knaresborough & York in North Yorkshire, England where we used to live (beautiful place) to go shopping, sightseeing and have picnics by the water :) I'd have said Paris, but babies and travelling too far doesn't always mix so well ; ) Have a wonderful weekend & have some fun!!

Be Soft♥

I found this browsing around on Tumblr and just thought it was beautiful. I think one should be soft, but on the other hand not just lay down and be a doormat, stand up for yourself. The days here are still cold, the wind hits like ice kisses against your face, making you wish you were somewhere else that's never felt the cold. But, thankfully Spring is coming and the sunshine will warm the souls once more. Then most will be sitting waiting for winter to begin again to feel the cool down, hehe. But, its a wonder weather and its many forms, goes with us and our many forms and how all of them make up who we are & we shouldn't let anyone steal them away or mistreat them. I hope the world around you is a beautiful place!!

Have a great Wednesday!!!

{J'adore} Ruffles

I decided on something new...posting blocks of items that I really love at the moment, whatever it may be, colours, fashion, sweets, whatever comes to mind, maybe like a mood board & I'll also add my own pictures, I'm just still exhausted from my cold - hence the found photos, but I love ruffles, anything couture looking or gown-like. I always find it's one of the finishing touches that can really top an outfit off and I always feel grand in something with ruffles and intricate detailing, I would love to be able to create a piece of clothing with such skill, but for now I'll just leave it to the professionals. Hope you are feeling wonderful, wherever you may be!!

Fantastic You♥

Wanna fly, you got to give up the shit that weights you down.— Toni Morrison

When's the last time you told yourself, you should say it at least once a day. Look in the mirror & say it, shout it. Look back and think on all you've done & come through. You've lived & loved, fell a thousand times & found the strength somewhere to get back up another day. You're alive, it's all that matters, right here, right now. Focus on it. Let the smile form on your face, let the sunlight in. Begin to let your eyes become rays of light; strength for your heart to shine and guide its way out of darkness. Get rid of all the negativity in it's many forms & just Believe in Yourself. Be Fantastic, Because you are Fantastic.

Lots of Love,

'Last summer the friend of the international photographer Simon Procter, Rolande, an aged but still very wild paintress died. The family of Rolande agreed to open her studios one last time before all was cleared away. Simon Procter with help from his friends at Christian Dior Couture and his Paris creative team shot in this extraordinary space. The young french model Pauline Serreau was given the daunting task of embodying the dead artist. The following image, are a unique example of life, art and death interpreted through contemporary fashion photography'.

The Breath of Spring!

The Breath of Spring… By John McLeod
The breath of Spring
Lifting on wings that feel
The pulse of Life
Hope that will bring
A sense of 'real'
After the shadowy, wintry days
Now gone....
The dawn's first whispering
Of gentle birdsong 'wakening
To splendid day,
The heart takes wing
And soars majestically
On freedom's way....
What joy indeed!
The poet in me
Rejoices midst the gentle need
To happy be....
And counts his blessings!

I Love Spring & having an un-enjoyable cold, I am looking forward to wearing pretty dresses, feeling the sun, smelling the flowers, baby animals, children playing and my new baby to come in April..almost Spring time!!

p.s. the Pink Lemonade Design blog is a lush read :)

Love..What is it?♥

What is Love to you??

Love, don't you just love that word? I have been thinking about it a lot lately. From receiving it, to giving it, Love validates that this world DOES have good people in it. I asked friends, family & those on my facebook 'fan' page what they felt love meant to them. Here are some of their answers:

"Love to me is being able to trust someone with my life and heart. Being able to be open and honest at every turn. It's about not being afraid, to be at your most vulnerable with them. Also tanned skin is high on my list..j/k"!! Gorgeous Gav.

{Woman to Woman} Lykke & Adele

Hiya beauties!
Well, I had just one piece of music I was going to share & then I came across another & couldn't choose between the two, so I decided to have some girl power and share them both :) I think it works too as both are different sounding, but equally lush, so pending on the mood, you can spin either one and be happy.

First one is the second single from Lykke, off her album 'Wounded Rhymes'.  Directed by Tarik Saleh. I Follow Rivers released on the week of 28th (Feb) globally. Hypnotic vocals with a moody feeling that gets addictive. For more info go to: http://LykkeLi.com

Second up is Adele with 'Rolling in The Deep' from her second long awaited album '21'. The song is powerful as expected and quickly reminds you why you enjoyed her so much in the first place. She's beautiful & highly talented as always. It came out January 24th, so no waiting, hehe!! For more info go to: http://www.adele.tv/home/

I usually spin old records of singers like Kate Bush, but every now and then I find something modern that I enjoy & it's fantastic to see some outstanding female talent that doesn't include being half naked to gain attention due to lack of substance in the talent department, these women are gems & I hope you enjoy them!!

Happy Weekend

Freedom♥

“Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed – else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die.”

BHLDN♥

Hello hello beauties!!

I hope all is well!! Not that I know anyone getting married, but I couldn't resist sharing these exquisite pictures from the BHLDN website that will be finally having it's grand revealing on Valentine's Day!! (first revealed last year to the industry).  Anthropologie confirmed that they are about to reveal their visions for weddings with the line: BHLDN.

You can check out the site & see it in all it's glory on February 14th (you can sign up just now to hear things firsthand).

The images, the colours, the music drawing you in (listen on website & if anyone knows the music, let me know, I adore it)..all divine!
I think if I had the money (from what I've been told, the retail prices range from $1,000 to $4,000 for gowns & $200 to $600 for event dresses) I would buy some of the items just to wear anyways, as its vintage and dreamy and well, why not!?! I'm sure anyone with good taste could make some of the items work perfectly well into their everyday/dress up wardrobes.

Enjoy, daydream & Love....
